In a Nutshell

This internship gives insight into the daily activities of the Digital Marketing Department across Acquisition, Conversion, and Retention initiatives and supports Design Hotels’™ hotel implementation process.

  • Opening: end of January / beginning of February 2019
  • Compensation: EUR 450 gross / month
  • The Internship must be a compulsory part of your current studies

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Implement new hotels into the website using our Content Management System (CMS) and Asana (in direct contact with Senior Manager Membership Services)
  • Creation and delivery of story pages, deals pages, and other related CMS tasks
  • Content Management: content upload and coordination of content production (visuals and copy for the website pages, email newsletters, social posts, etc.)
  • Support with SEO and website development-related projects
  • Assist with the production and execution of communications and ad-hoc projects for Design Hotels™ Community
  • Performance analysis and reporting via various online analytics tools, applying Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Market and competitive research and analysis (website activities, marketing campaigns, newsletters, and user flows)
  • Organizational and administrative support of the department
  • Preparation of meetings, keeping of minutes, and follow up
  • Creation of keynote presentations for the digital marketing hotel reporting
  • Managing own online marketing campaign as a final project with support of the Digital Marketing team (upon performance of intern)

Experience & Mindset

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, German is not required
  • Good communication skills (specifically in English, good vocabulary, writing and editing skills)
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills (task management)
  • Proactive team member that shows initiative
  • Proficiency in the use of Mac OS (e.g. Keynote) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Content Management System experience (bonus, not required)
  • Analytics Tools experience (bonus, not required)
  • Google Adwords experience (bonus, not required)


  • Deep insight into various aspects of Digital Marketing
  • Great experience in the niche market of luxury boutique hotels
  • Working in a young, motivated, and international team at the global Headquarters of Design Hotels located in the creative Media Spree area in Berlin
